Michael Jonas is a Partner in the Investment Management practice of Arendt & Medernach. He advises fund sponsors on the structuring, formation and ongoing operation of regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds across all asset classes, with a particular focus on private equity and venture capital. Additional areas of expertise include GP-led secondaries, fund governance matters, carried interest and co-investment arrangements. He also advises asset managers on investment fund transactions and related acquisition structures and regulatory compliance.
Previously, he gained substantial experience with a magic circle firm in Brussels and in Luxembourg.
Michael has been a member of the New York State Bar since 2004 and the Luxembourg Bar since 2007. He was a member of the Brussels Bar from 1998 to 2011.
